VSAT

While the process was initially planned to support Air Combat Command’s simulators for DMO, both VSAT and AFRL/HEA recognized that it could be useful in other applications.  This led to a request by AFRL/HEA that VSAT direct the process to also cover Air Education and Training Command (AETC) needs.  Preliminary plans have been developed to evaluate the AETC F-16 simulators at Luke AFB.   

VSAT is also developing a media analysis and selection process oriented toward AETC needs.  It will use techniques and procedures developed in other parts of this SBIR to develop a tool that is oriented toward AETC needs – namely, how to determine the best system in which to train specific tasks.  The media analysis and selection process will use a series of database queries to resolve typical problems encountered in conventional media selection processes, e.g., methods that select the “Cadillac” solution rather than more cost effective alternatives
