VSAT's PROGRAMS & EXPERIENCE
VSAT is a recognized and respected leader in defining training system performance requirements. We specialize in developing, tailoring, and applying tools methods, and processes required for efficient and effective training system development. Our current and recent programs include:
KC-X AIRCREW TRAINING SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS ANALYSIS (TSRA)
VSAT was selected to perform a Training Systems Requirements Analysis (TSRA) for the new Air Force tanker, the KC-X. This systematic approach is based on an integrated instructional systems development/systems engineering process. MORE
KC-X Maintenance TSRA
VSAT is also currently pursuing the application of its TSRA process to define the training requirements for the KC-X maintenance personnel. The KC-X is a high-technology replacement for current tankers, and there will be new systems which must be maintained, even by experienced maintainers.
SIMULATOR ACCEPTANCE TESTING
The overall objective of this Small Business Innovation Research topic is to extend and apply new technologies and methodologies of automated acceptance testing to the wide variety of complex Navy flight and maintenance training simulators. Based on projected F-35 training tasks lists, VSAT developed a test process to support testing of the first F-35 Training Simulators. VSAT then defined an innovative, cost and time efficient, approach for Military Aviator Simulator Test (MAST). This is Phase II US Navy Small Business Innovation Research topic number N07-034. MORE
F-35 Simulator Fidelity
VSAT has recently completed Phase II of a US Navy Small Business Innovation Research program designated NO4-027, “A Fidelity Analysis Tool for F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Training Systems” MORE
DISTRIBUTED MISSION TRAINING
Another relevant Phase II Small Business Innovation Research conducted by VSAT was for the US Air Force, designated AF02-068, “Distributed Mission Training Requirements and Capability Analysis.” MORE
CENTRIFUGE AND RESEARCH CHAMBER
VSAT was selected to support acquisition of the 711 Human Performance Wing Human Centrifuge and Research Altitude Chamber programs for the US Air Force at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. MORE
